Becoming an Evaluator
The function of the evaluator in the accreditation process is essential. ICHE assessors are esteemed and acknowledged for their contributions to the peer review procedure.
Evaluators must meet the following requirements:
STEP 1
Determine Your Eligibility
- Evaluators must be able to demonstrate five years of relevant experience and/or education. In addition, they must meet the following qualifications, as indicated by the résumé information:
- At least two operational areas, including training, admissions, financial assistance, placement, and administration, are required of member evaluators.
- Expertise in Student Relations (SR) includes calculation of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and knowledge with the Campus Accountability Report (CAR).
- Expertise in Educational Activities (ED) needs five years of administrative experience and experience evaluating the credentials of teachers assigned to teach general education courses.
- Expertise in Distance Education (DE) involves the administration, instruction, and curriculum development of distant education programs.
STEP 2
Accept the ICHE Code of Ethics and Independent Contractor Agreement
Evaluators are required to agree to adhere to the ICHE Code of Ethics and the requirements of the Independent Contractor Agreement.
STEP 3
Submit Necessary Paperwork
Send your CV, the Code of Ethics, the Independent Contractor Agreement, and a W-9 form to evaluators@icohe.org.
STEP 4
Register as an Evaluator
In accordance with ICHE statutes, applicants must submit registration information classifying themselves as Academic, Administrative, or Neither. Please consult evaluators-overview for definitions.evaluators-overview.
STEP 5
Training
Prior to serving on an evaluation team, an evaluator must participate in a comprehensive online training with the Chief Knowledge Officer.
