Evaluators - The Core of Quality Assurance and Institutional Integrity
ICHE evaluators play a crucial role in the thoughtful and comprehensive certification of institutions, assuring quality, institutional improvement, and adherence to ethical business and educational standards. Evaluators are volunteers who are acknowledged for their commitment and willingness to contribute to higher education by serving on evaluation teams and examining member schools fairly and impartially in accordance with set criteria.
EVALUATORS ARE CLASSIFIED AS FOLLOWS:
Member – affiliated with an ICHE-accredited institution; OR
Public – not affiliated with an ICHE-accredited institution; AND
Academic – someone currently or recently directly engaged in a significant manner in postsecondary teaching and/or research currently or within the last five; OR
Administrative – someone directly engaged in a significant manner in postsecondary programmatic administration currently or within the last five years; OR
Neither academic or administrative.
Based on qualifications and upon successful completion of ICHE training, evaluators are assigned one of the following roles:
Chair
Program Specialist
Student Relations
Educational Activities
Distance Education
